I'm looking to give a unique lure as a thank you gift for the CEO of my company. He's an avid fisherman and I was hoping to find something that would have a unique meaning. I have very little knowledge of fish/lures and what they represent, so I was hoping for some ideas!

I have a friend who is an over the top Ohio State Buckeyes fan and his whole basement is filled with memorabilia. I found a vintage Fred Arbogast "Pug Nose" lure emblazoned with the OSU logo and put it in an inexpensive shadow box and gave it to him for his birthday. He loved it & its hung on his basement wall for 15 years now.

Hello,

What a great gift!

Like the number of different fish there are, there are as many different types of lures. Do you know what he fishes for, or what he collects?

You might want to look the pictures in his office to get an idea, maybe ask others his interests to narrow it down. Knowing details may help people here make suggestions. Also think about a price range.

Remember, with antique lures, the quality and shape of the lure (No paint loss, never been fished) mean everything.

Good luck,

Mike B
