Things I would like to see on the NFLCC web site

Tom Jacomet	As a 'retired' assistant NFLCC web site editor, the new site is taking form and looking great! I know there is more good things to come as our President, Stuart Strange, called me to ask if I would continue working in that capacity but I decided that after the time/effort I worked on it, it was time for 'new blood' so to speak! He asked me what I would suggest for improvements (of which I felt there were many!) and I'm sure we'll be seeing some of these in the near future! Of the ones I thought should be of top priority were these two which, I know will take time and effort but will enhance and further the knowledge of the field of collectible fishing tackle, but will also make membership in our organization more valuable. 1. Currently, the NFLCC sells a index to the NFLCC Magazine/Gazettes to members. This index becomes outdated once another of either of these publications is issued. This index should be available on the web site free of charge to paid members. 2. This is a big one and will take time and effort but will be a great benefit to being a member: All issues of the gazette and magazine should be digitally available to members. These are our club's history and over time, will be lost to history as time passes. Recently, the American Numismatic Association (ANA)(< a href=http://www.coinworld.com/news/us-coins/2015/12/ANA-launches-digital-archive-of-The-Numismatist-magazine.htm) made available 127 years of their publications. To quote the editor, " The archives will be a great boon to editors, authors and researchers..." We are young organization by comparison BUT based on our club's "Mission and History" as posted on our web site, "The primary mission of the NFLCC is to promote the awareness of tackle collecting as a hobby; the preservation of vintage and collectible tackle information, history, and artifacts; to provide appropriate services, support information, and related activities to the NFLCC membership in pursuit of tackle collecting." To that end, and since I'm in support of doing this, I would volunteer to help do this but of course, given the scope of the project, it would be helpful to have other volunteers, especially those who have retained such paper documents!

Dan Basore	Thanks for you past work on this site and your suggestions for improvements. Sounds great. Hope you can continue your help on these and others in the future.
