I am the curator of our local historical society. In our collection, we have a Will O' the Wisp Electric fishing lure, made by the Research and Model Company. Recently, we were gifted a Pork Mouse, the Pike Killer made by the same company. We have nothing in our files that tells us anything about the company. We don't know its location in town. We don't know how big it was. We believe it was in operation about 1939. Is anyone able to help us? |

I have my fathers WILL-O-THE-WISP LURE, original box, instruction sheet and Ray-O-Vac battery. I don't think the lure came with "battery included" but it's there Anyone know of its current value? Jim muth |

Advertisements were placed in sporting magazines around 1936 for the lures - the copy below coming from the book Great Tackle Advertisements, 1874-1955. From the ads you can see they had two locations, Glastonbury and East Hartford - at least that will give you a place to start digging. ![]() |
