Welcome to the NFLCC monthly photo contest,

The recurring photo contests have been created to further highlight, educate and bring awareness to the various manufactures, types of collectibles and variation of lures within our hobby.

The contests will be held monthly, highlighting a variety of collectibles and will be judged by you, the audience.

Our February contest will be dedicated to highlighting all of the "Metal baits" collected in our great hobby.

We encourage all NFLCC members and collectors alike to participate in our contests and follow the following rules:

Contest limit of 5 individual entries (Pictures/Photos) per person
3 votes per unique user
Pictures must be submitted by the 20th of every month
Voting starts after the 20th until the end of the month
Votes will be tallied and winners announced at the start of the next contest
All pictures submitted must be 2 MB or less
Prize announcement coming soon

TO SUBMIT AN ENTRY / ENTRIES: Reply to this message and use our uploading feature. This message & all replies will remain at the top of the message board for the duration of the contest. Be sure to include First AND LAST names & valid email with your post or your entry will be disqualified.

TO VOTE: Watch for a 2nd sticky post to appear on the 20th of each month right below this message. Just reply to that message with up to three (3) VOTES. Include the names and picture number or description with your voting message.

Early "Fly Rod" Metal - Craftsmanship From Over A Century Ago

I am always looking for more to add to this collection, which consists generally of the smallest size of any metal lure that was introduced at least 100 years ago

Two Wright McGill Whirlwind Spinners with the most amazing boxes. Small is really an understatement for the baits and boxes. The orange box stands 1 3/4 inches while the white / light gray one stands a mere 2 inches. The Spinners are unique, the boxes unheard of, only ones I know of but always looking to add more.

Wright McGill Bug Spinners dating around 1928 - 1930. To find one on a card is extremely tough, to have two and on different time period cards is rare indeed.
There are five variations of the Bug Spinner; Nickle, Brass, Copper & Nickle, and Copper.

I have received some very sound feedback on voting that I appreciate and will make a rule change for.

All votes to be submitted, when time appropriate, should be for a person and individual picture submitted.

EXAMPLE: If say Jim D. submits three pictures I will count up the number of votes for each specific picture, not by the person and total number of votes they received.

So when we vote, we need to vote by the submitter and the specific lure.

I appreciate all feedback (Thanks Jim!).
