Got this "little" gem in the mail yesterday...

Probably a saltwater / striper lure given the Blue Flash color but possibly for Muskies as well? Measures 9" long and has a unique pentagonal shape. Very well built with a tail wrap about twice the length of an Emmerson & Ruhren. The tiny tail spinner on such a huge bait is ironic, but I do think it's a factory feature. Wire-through construction with wide rim brass cups. At least FIVE belly weights and the weights are then sealed in with sawed-off dowel. Hook points are all uniformly factory bent forward. And I think the eyes are glass. It is for sale, delivered to your door for the first $60, but really I'm more interested in learning about who might've made this awesome beast. Probably circa 1950s-60s. Any info is appreciated. Personal check is ok for NFLCC members. Thanks, Scott |

Brilliant, John! I believe you nailed it, I googled Bill Wolfgang and found this pic. Undeniable stylistic match. Thank you for your help! Scott |

Hard to tell without having it in hand, but I think it is an Ohio bait made by Bill Wolfgang. John |
