I'm looking for some info and verification on a Hurd reel. I was told if the Hurd stamping is on the left side away from the crank, it is a saltwater reel. The serial number is A 95600. Any ideas if this is so or on rarity, value? ![]() ![]() |

Hi Jeff, It is my understanding that the salt water Hurd super caster is all black and very difficult to find. I am not aware of any saltwater versions in any other colour. I am including a photo of my small collection so you can have a look. Feel free to email me if you like at: rbrunet1@mymts.net hope this helps Rolly ![]() |
