Paw paw watta frog muskie version

David white	Hello, hoping someone might have some history or info on the watta frog. I have a carl luckey book. It has the basics. I just found one that's over 8 inches minus the hooks. It has buck tails but no lip or belly treble. Could this be the rare musky one? I thought that one was 5 inches? also I have a senior frog that has cups on the end of the legs could this one be real early? I cant seem to find much on these lures any info appreciated thank you

David white	Thanks for the info scott. I will investigate that book. At first I assumed it was made for display or advertising. Maybe one of the lure makers just carved it for the heck of it? Its unused in great shape . When I saw it for sale I jumped on it, had a feeling it was unique. I have always loved these frogs. I didnt know only one 5 inch one existed? If anybody else would like to talk about watta frogs I have a small collection of them and many questions.

Scott Jedd	Thanks David. Your lure is a very cool looking piece of modern folk art. It looks to have a maker's mark down by the crotch. This lure is more than twice the size of the largest known Wotta Frog (and there is only one of those). Whoever did the paint did a nice job. You should get a copy of the Paw Paw book by Tougas & Stockman. I use mine so much I wore the binding out! Scott Scott

David white	This is the large watta frog 3 and 3quarter ounces 11 inches inc. hooks bought on ebay seller purchased in the eighties in an antique shop. Paint job looks spot on I dont think its a fake?
