The National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) is a non-profit, educational, international organization founded in 1976. The primary objectives of the NFLCC are to foster an awareness of fishing tackle collecting as a hobby and to assist members in the location, identification, and trading of vintage fishing-related equipment.

Bulletin Board

This bulletin board is provided as a public forum for announcements, messages, questions, chat or almost anything else you can think of related to antique fishing tackle. OWB???

Joe	Can anyone identify this lure model? All i have been able to find out so far is. OWB stands for old wooden bait company out of canada. Not much to be googled as far as the lure goes. One website suggested its called a levanthian or something like that. Whats it worth

Tom Jacomet	The Old Wooden Bait Co. was from Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, and made a line of wooden lures named "Leviathans." The business started in 1979 and is no longer operating. These were modeled after Creek Chub's Giant Pikies & Husky Muskys, Heddon's Giant Vamp and Pflueger's Mustang, and came in various sizes ranging from 8" to 15" in both 1 piece and 2 & 3 piece jointed lures. These came in approximately 15 colors. Boxed lures trade in the $45-$65 range and lures alone in the $30-$45 range, in excellent condition. This information came from "The Encyclopedia of Old Fishing Lures Made in North America, Volume 13, by Robert A. Slade.
