The National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) is a non-profit, educational, international organization founded in 1976. The primary objectives of the NFLCC are to foster an awareness of fishing tackle collecting as a hobby and to assist members in the location, identification, and trading of vintage fishing-related equipment.

For those that are not familiar with the annual week-long buying event in Madison/Bouckville - It is a series of outdoor shows (big & small, garages, lawns, barns, etc.) along a two mile stretch of Route 20 in central New York's "antiques row" of Mom & Pop and group shops. 1,000+ (nobody really knows how many) antiques and collectibles dealers (and locals looking to clean out their attics and basements), set up in numerous hay fields, on professional show fields, and on residential lawns. This is definitely "farm country" for those who are not familiar with the area. These shows start setting up the day after the Discovery auction, and continue opening on a staggered schedule with different shows opening almost every day. The shows run until the following Sunday (when the collectors and dealers go home and the farmers get their fields back).

These are the very shows where rare lures, reels, and many other seldom seen antique and collectible tackle items, have routinely surfaced for the past 45 years. Many of the sellers frequent yard sales/estate sales/auctions all year long just to sell their finds during this week. You honestly never know what you may find!

It's a scenic drive to this upstate NY location, no matter which direction you come from. The Discovery auction is held in a large permanent pavilion, so it's rain or shine. There will be food available, a large free parking area, full service RV and tent camping, Wi-Fi, children and dogs are welcome, and there's fishing within minutes in any direction (and don't forget the adjacent Free Antiques & Collectibles Show - free dealer booths, free to the public).

We're sure you'll have a great time and go home with lots of treasures. Hope to see you soon!

Lang's Last Annual Discovery Auction

Starting this fall, after the August 11 & 12 auction in Bouckville, NY, Lang's will be partnering with Blanchard's Auction Service in Potsdam, NY to hold multiple discovery auctions each year from their location. Our trusted partner Kip Blanchard has provided his expertise and auctioneering services for Lang's for many years. Holding the discovery auctions at his facility will provide amenities and the space needed for a larger number of auctions each year. We will announce each discovery auction with an eCard mailing as it is scheduled, so please make sure you add your current email address to Lang's mailing list.

Just a few photos from last year....expect bigger AND better this year....
